Native to South Africa, this caudiciform thrives in dry, warm climates, including savannas and rocky slopes. Fockea edulis has whitish-green flowers pollinated by fruit flies. The species name "edulis" means edible; its caudex, though toxic when raw, is traditionally cooked by Indigenous communities as an emergency food source during dry seasons.
Plant is in 8" pot and you will receive the exact specimen in picture.
