Uebelmannia pectinifera

Regular price $40.00
Endemic to a single location in Brazil at 650-1350 meters above sea level, these cacti thrive in a warm, dry climate with humid, wet winters. They grow in dry savannas and rocky areas, often found in crevices of crystalline rocks or on small, flat patches of organic leaf mold and sand. The flowers are slender, funnel-shaped, and greenish-yellow. Since this endangered species is rare in the wild, it's more commonly cultivated and is slow growing. We love it for its purplish epidermis when young and its uniform spines.
