Endemic to the Arabian Peninsula and sub-Saharan Africa. A robust terrestrial orchid that grows in arid, low altitude, granite domes or rocky outcrops, but also in exposed places amongst grass. Flowers vary in color ranging from from white to pink or purple, with a musky scent. We love this orchid outlier for its drought tolerance, living side-by-side in the same conditions as cacti and succulents in cultivation.
